North Coast Baseball Code of Conduct

North Coast Baseball requires that all participants, coaches, parents and spectators adhere to a strict code of conduct including but not limited to:

No person shall conduct himself/herself in a manner dangerous or offensive to self or other users of park properties or interfere with any law enforcement official, park representative, tournament official or municipal representative in performance of his/her duties.   Prohibited acts include, but are not limited to, boisterous or indecent language, littering, aggressive behavior and defacing property. Violation of these rules may result in prosecution to the fullest extent allowable.

 

Coach/Player Conduct

Coaches ejected from a tournament game are not permitted to attend any further games for the duration of the event as a coach or spectator.

Coaches ejected from a league game are subject to the following:

First Incident - $25.00 fine and 1 game suspension

Second Incident - $50.00 fine and 2 game suspension

Third Incident - Lifetime Ban from North Coast Baseball

There is no time limit (i.e. over the period of a season) to these offenses.  All records are kept by the league office on an on-going basis.

Tournament Games - Coach is removed from the remaining games in the tournament

Any coach who knowingly uses an illegal player during a regular season or playoff game will be banned from participating in any official capacity on any North Coast team for life.

 

Players ejected from a game:

First Incident - 1 game suspension

Second Incident -  2 game suspension

Third Incident - Lifetime Ban from North Coast Baseball

Tournament Games - Player is removed for the remainder of the game plus the next tournament game.

There is no time limit (i.e. over the period of a season) to these offenses.  All records are kept by the league office on an on-going basis. 

North Coast Baseball reserves the right to restrict play to members in good standing with the league.  The above guidelines are enforced completely up to the discretion of the league office.  Certain offenses may result in an instant lifetime ban.

 

Alcohol and Illegal Drug Policy

There is to be absolutely NO ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION or ILLEGAL DRUG USE by anyone, at any time, at any venue of this tournament, exhibition or league game.  Violators will be removed from the premises immediately without opportunity to return for the duration of the event.  No exceptions.

Tobacco use should be minimal and only used out of the presence of the playing field and players.  Tobacco is not to be used by anyone while on any public or private school property.  No player shall use any tobacco product at any time during the course of any game.

Emergency Procedures

In the event of lightning or threatening weather conditions, any game should be immediately stopped and all participants should seek shelter until such time that the condition has passed or the umpire has cancelled the game.  Use sound judgment and be cautious.

In the event of illness or injury only qualified medical personnel should be used to treat and/or transport individuals.  All areas are served by the 911 Emergency Services.  Coaches should have cell phones available since all venues may not have pay phones available.
